good news!!! it appears that caroline is now clear of infection and no longer has a urinary tract infection. we are so thankful to the Lord for healing her little body. we went to the pediatrician wed for a follow up. the urinalysis results looked promising, but we had to wait to get the final results from the culture, which we got today. she will have one more test at the hospital, which will include being cathed again and then a follow up appt with a pediatric urgologist just to be absolutely sure there are no problems with her kidneys or bladder. she'll stay on antibiotic until we see the ped urologist on oct 19. caroline really has amazed me through all of this. she has been such a sweetheart in the midst of all the pain, doctor's appts, cath experiences, etc. i know when i was little they used to have to hold me down just to get a throat culture :) she seems to still have some discomfort when urinating. i'm sure the cath makes her sore and she probably is scared to pee since there have been so many negative things associated with it since august. please continue to pray for her...i'd sure like to get her potty trained sometime in the near future!!!!
