he's here!! and he is soooooo precious and beautiful. andrew franklin shaw was born at 12:04 pm weighing in at 8lbs 9oz and was 19.5 inches long. kristen and dave just both love the name andrew. franklin is in honor of my dad and his father, our grandaddy (both jim franklin cole). grandaddy went to be with the Lord in 1991, but was such an awesome, loving, Godly man as is my dad :) kristen, as always, did great with the surgery and was glowing. andrew looks like both sarah and luke. he has a smaller face than either of them, lighter hair with a little curl. kristen and dave make some pretty babies! seriously, they come out perfect, no squishy newborn faces here. i think my caroline is beautiful, but let me tell you, it took her some time to grow into her features. she really did look like a newborn. kristen's c-section was delayed about 1.5 hours and then the hospital, as of 2 weeks ago, has started a new policy where visitors can't come into the recovery room. so, we waited very patiently until they were moved into their room, which was around 3pm. sarah is absolutely enamored with her little brother. she wouldn't leave him. she kept talking to him and telling him all kinds of sweet and funny things. she kept saying "we get to take him home with us". luke seemed excited and was very sweet with him. he was a little more shell shocked, but smiled really big when he saw andrew. caroline also loved her new cousin. she was super sweet with him. she's been asking for a baby bro or sis so she loved having a baby to ooh and ahh over. she kept asking me to hold him and saying "awwww, he's so cute, mommy". we are so thankful to the Lord for this precious little boy andrew and pray he will grow to be a man of God! lots of pictures above....

Oh, he is beautiful and so perfect. God is soooo good. Our congratulations to David and Kristen and the whole Cole family.

He is absolutely precious! Please tell Kristin & her family how excited we are for them. He picked a great day to be born! :)
