happy 2nd birthday!happy 2nd birthday susanna!! it is so trite, but time has absolutely flown by. words cannot express how much we love you. you are a sneaky little girl...you pretended to be laidback, gentle and quiet the first year of your life. well, you actually are the busiest little girl ever, rough and tumble, stubborn and loud! but, i can't imagine you any other way and life would be b-o-r-i-n-g without you. here are a few things i want to remember about you on your 2nd birthday...
*your favorite words are NO and MINE
*you are just now starting to talk more - you have your own language, which only me, daddy and caroline totally understand
*you call all food "num, num"
*you LOVE your milk....and juice when i'll let you have it
*you are absolutely NEVER still...except naptime and when you go to bed
*you play so well by yourself - will play forever in your playroom with your babies and "cooking"
*you love for daddy to dance with you and throw you around - the rougher the play, the better
*you are wearing 18-24mos and 2T clothes; 5 1/2 shoe
*you love woof-woofs (dogs) especially papa and grandad's woof woofs
*you get up between 7:30-8am and go to bed around 8pm
*your hair has turned white this summer and you are brown as a nut
*you LOVE water - the ocean, the lake, the pool and you have absolutely no fear in it
*you have a wonderful relationship with your big sis - you are blessed to have each other
*you are no fun in the car...around town is fine, but on road trips you are a bear
*you are not a morning girl - usually a little grumpy and then warm up after your milk :)
*you are tough - not much will make you cry; you fall down and get right back up
*you have no interest in TV or videos
*your beautiful smile lights up a room (and gets you out of trouble A LOT)
*strangers always comment on you...whether it's your smile, your personality, etc...
*you are the joy and light of our lives
we love you so much and are thankful beyond words that the Lord chose to give us the gift of you. my pray every night for you and caroline is that you will know, love and serve Him passionately your whole life. that's about all there is in life when it comes right down to it...happy birthday, my sweet susanna!

Happy Birthday my precious Susanna. You are a constant delight and Granddad (or Bop Bop, as you teasingly call him) and I love you dearly. We look forward to year number three in your fun life. Happy 2nd birthday, sweet Susanna. Holly and Ivy (AKA "woof-woofs") sure do miss you, but not as much as we do! You are so much fun to have in our lives - it's like having your Mom around again, though we see your Daddy in you, too. We thank the Lord for you every day.
