john ran the 10k cooper river bridge run the morning of caroline's ballet recital. he's wanted to do it since we moved to charleston. it's a huge race that starts on the mt.pleasant side of the bridge and ends downtown. he did great!! that night, we enjoyed caroline's second ballet recital. she was so cute in her costumes and loves everything about it...still didn't know the moves and was constantly watching the girl next to her, but who cares. she smiled like crazy and had a blast on stage! the grandparents made her feel like a star by being there!!

**there are a million recital pics, just a warning :)

weariness...

please pray for forester and the bradburns...today was not a good day and they are weary. poor forester barely ate at all. he has no appetite and all the meds he has to take daily make him so nauseous and scared of swallowing anything for fear of throwing up. my heart hurts so much for all of them. go to their blog for more specifics, www.thebradburns.blogspot.com and pray, pray, pray for a better day tomorrow...thank you :)

praise the Lord, o my soul!

forester at the hospital today

slade hanging out at the hospital with big bro...if i'm preggo soon it's b/c of her!! she is so precious!!!!!

i'm praising the Lord tonight for answered prayers! God is so good, kind and generous. forester and family have had 2 good days at the hospital for treatments and his headaches have been relieved. thank you, Jesus! psalm 103 below is one of my favorites!!

Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,

5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:

8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.

9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;

12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.

20 Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.

21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.

22 Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the LORD, O my soul.

heavy heart

forester

my heart is so heavy this morning for our dear friends, the bradburns. forester started his chemo and radiation yesterday and it was a long, rough day. he has been having horrendous headaches off and on since the spinal tap almost 2 weeks ago and for some reason, nobody can figure out why or how to stop them. it has been incredibly frustrating and so hard on that sweet boy's body and his parents who have had to watch him be in such intense pain. please pray today for the following things....

*that they will see a neurologist and he/she will have wisdom regarding the headaches and how to treat them
*that chemo and radiation will go as planned today and that they will be at the hospital for as short a time as possible
*strength and endurance for whitney as pete leaves town this afternoon for work (thankfully her parents live here and are amazing)
*strengh and peace for pete as he has to be away - can't imagine how hard it is going to be to get on that plane

my human head and heart do not understand why this is has to happen, but i am clinging to what i do know....that God is good and He has a plan.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28

their blog has tons of info about his treatment and how to pray specifially, www.thebradburns.blogspot.com
